This morning we went into town to give Salma an urban experience of waking in town on lead.
What an exhausting morning she had!!! She travelled very quietly in the car but when she arrived in the town she was quite overexcited by so much going on – cars, people walking around, noises (a delivery driver even dropped his load of mineral water which landed with a great crash just as we were passing by), movement. She may have lived in an apartment block because she wanted to enter every doorway that we passed.
We walked around the little park where she could sniff the grass and even greet some other dogs there. Then we went to a little café and had some coffee so that she could sit down and rest.
The experience was not too long, but as we returned to the car she was much calmer and walked with a loose lead all the way. Progress! Well done, Salma!
